Eight years later

Even after we’ve graduated, we gather at your place for games
What has only changed is that we now openly drink

I thought that the same old days would continue “for a while, at least”

One left, then two left town…you also experienced new meetings and partings
Even someone like me, got to see what I want to do and the outside world

Even separated, still gathered to tell stories

Within less than six months
You have to say “you haven’t changed at all”
Within a period of less than six months
“I made solid friends who are just like you”
(Have you make silly “friends” like us?)

Let’s dream once more time
Let’s dream once more time

It’s so weird, those days when I used to pretend to talk without confidence
The future sounded more brilliant than now
Can you imagine this?

Within less than three years
You have to say “You know you changed”
Just three years and
“We have grow up a little more”

Listening to the sighs of the cherry tree leaves
I saw a dream of that summer
Scared of the thorns of the wild orange bushes
I waited for the snow to melt

Within less than ten years
You have to say “you’ve grown up a bit”
Just ten years and
I enjoy being teased when we meet face to face
(Wonder how long I can tease you when we meet face to face)

Let’s dream again
Let’s sing that song we used to sing

(School song chorus)
